Molehill Mountain is a collaboration between Autistica and King's College London, designed to assist autistic individuals in comprehending and managing their anxiety. The development of this app involved close collaboration with autistic individuals at every stage, ensuring its user-friendliness and relevance to their specific needs.

Based on the scientifically proven Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Molehill Mountain was developed with the invaluable contributions of Professor Emily Simonoff, Dr Ann Ozsivadjian, and Dr Rachel Kent from the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN) at King's College London.

Anxiety is a common experience for most autistic individuals, with eight out of ten exhibiting anxiety symptoms. Molehill Mountain enables users to track their worries and identify anxiety triggers. The daily check-ins can be plotted on a chart, helping users identify patterns and trends, and compare previous check-ins to recognize recurring triggers.

Unlocking tips over time, Molehill Mountain aids in understanding and managing anxiety. The daily tips have been completely rewritten for this updated version, with additional mini-tips addressing common causes of anxiety and stress in autistic individuals. These include hypersensitivity to noise, light, touch, as well as difficulties with social situations and communication.

Furthermore, the app offers interactive CBT activities that can be accessed anytime. These activities utilize established and clinically proven techniques, empowering users to recognize and overcome unhelpful thinking patterns.

The development of Molehill Mountain has received support from The Maudsley Charity, The Worshipful Company of Information Technologists' Charity, and The Pixel Fund.
